Find out more about resilience and CHECKRESI.
Resilience originates in materials science: when pressure is applied to a material, it yields depending on its properties. If the material returns to its original state once the pressure is released, it is said to possess high resilience. Thus, resilience is the ability to deal positively with difficult situations and crises. It involves specific qualities that consistently lead to a healthy and strengthened state.
The concept of resilience is now applied across a wide range of sectors and industries — including banking, IT, urban development, and EU programs. In this context, it relates to individuals, organizations & teams and business models. Consequently, the program comprises 3 modules: 1. Personal Resilience 2. Organisational Resilience 3. Business Resilience — which can be conducted as a resilience-check individually or combined in any way desired.
In line with the three areas of resilience, there are three different resilience checks or modules: 1. Personal resilience 2. Team Resilience 3. Business Resilience. For each area, you can choose either the Basic Check (to get to know the tool, for initial guidance, 7 checkpoints per module, with a brief and clear evaluation) or the Expert Check (for in-depth analysis, to build resilience, 28 checkpoints per module, with a detailed and comprehensive evaluation including expert tips, and as part of the All-In-Check with practical exercises.
The Quick Check is designed to help you get to know the programme and provide an initial, quick overview. There are 7 checkpoints per module, and the feedback is brief and clear. There are no expert tips and no practical exercises! The Expert Check is designed to help you go into greater depth and build resilience in a practical way. There are 28 checkpoints per module; the assessment is detailed and comprehensive, including expert tips and, in the All-In-Check, practical exercises!
A "check-point" is a specific question that determines a resilience factor. In the Quick Check, one check-point corresponds to one resilience factor (e.g., optimism), whereas in the Expert Check, a resilience factor is assessed via four check-points.
Depending on the product or module selected, you will need to answer or assess certain questions (= check-points). Each answer consists of a subjective rating on a scale of 1–10; for example, 1 = not present, not very pronounced; 5 = average, could be better; 10 = highly developed, fully present. Once all the questions have been answered, you will receive a corresponding result, along with recommendations, tips and practical exercises, depending on the product selected.
Resilience is becoming increasingly important for dealing with difficulties, problems and crises in a truly positive way. It is not enough simply to be aware of the factors that contribute to resilience and to know a little about them. Rather, it is essential to measure and assess one’s level of resilience in order to work systematically on developing the necessary skills. . Only in this way is it possible to successfully improve and develop resilience.
If you want to know how well you personally handle problems and difficulties, the Personal Resilience module is right for you. If you work in a team, hold a leadership position, or are responsible for a group and want to learn more about your organization's resilience, the Team Resilience module is a great fit.
